Profile & Personal Information

Update Your Profile

Update your personal details from Settings > Account Settings > Profile.

  • Full name
  • Email used for login and account notifications
  • Timezone for account activity timestamps

Email & Notifications

Choose which account updates you want to receive.

  • Go to Settings > Notifications
  • Choose which events trigger email alerts
  • Security alerts (new login, password changes, 2FA updates)
  • Billing notifications (payment issues and billing reminders)
  • Important account notices from Setu support

Passwords & Security

Change Your Password

Use a strong password and update it when needed.

  • Go to Settings > Security > Change Password
  • Enter your current password
  • Type your new password (minimum 8 characters)
  • Confirm the new password
  • Click Save

Password Requirements

Passwords must meet these requirements:

  • Minimum 8 characters
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one number
  • Should not contain your username
  • Should be unique (not reused from old passwords)

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

What is 2FA?

Two-factor authentication adds a second sign-in check after your password.

  • Use an authenticator app on your phone
  • You enter a code during sign-in
  • Helps protect your account if your password is exposed
  • 2FA is managed per user account

How to Enable 2FA

Turn on 2FA from your security settings:

  • Go to Settings > Security > Two-Factor Authentication
  • Click "Enable 2FA"
  • Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
  • Save the recovery codes in a safe place
  • Enter a code from your app to verify setup
  • Next login will require the authenticator code

Backup Codes

If you lose access to your authenticator app, recovery codes can help you sign in.

  • Shown once during 2FA setup
  • Save them in a secure location
  • Each code can only be used once
  • Contact support if you lose both access and backup codes

Login Activity & Security

View Login History

Review recent sign-in activity on your account.

  • Go to Settings > Security > Login Activity
  • View login attempts with time and device details
  • Review failed login attempts
  • Report suspicious activity to support

Manage Trusted Devices

Manage devices you have marked as trusted.

  • Go to Settings > Security > Trusted Devices
  • View trusted devices linked to your account
  • Remove devices you no longer use
  • Review this list regularly

Session Management

Control where your account is currently signed in.

  • Go to Settings > Security > Active Sessions
  • View active sessions across your devices
  • Check device and last activity details
  • Sign out specific sessions or all sessions

Privacy & Data

Data Privacy

Setu handles account data according to our Privacy Policy.

  • Data is used to operate and support your account
  • We limit sharing to required service operations and legal obligations
  • Review our Privacy Policy for full details

Data Export

Request a copy of your personal data stored in Setu.

  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Export My Data
  • Your request is reviewed and processed by Setu support
  • Includes all personal information associated with your account
  • You will receive an email when your export is ready

Account Deactivation

Permanently delete your account and all associated data.

  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Deactivate Account
  • Enter your password to confirm
  • You'll receive a confirmation email
  • Follow the on-screen account closure steps
  • After closure is completed, deletion is final and cannot be undone

Important Notes

2FA Status: Two-factor authentication is managed per user account.

Session Timeout: Sessions expire after inactivity. Sign in again when prompted.

Password Recovery: If you forget your password, click "Forgot Password" on the login page to reset via email.
